Clutching my ankle I screamed out in Pain! Crumpling to the ground tears sprung into my eyes! I had come down from a layup, on one of my teammate's feet and snapped my ankle. Everyone came rushing over to help. An ER visit, and $7000.00 later I was bandaged up and doped up on pain killers. I did a good job breaking my ankle! For the next couple of months I sat on the side lines, I couldn't do much, I had limited ability to move and so I work at my job as a Stocker. I was desperate to find some ...Read the rest of this entry »

Tent caterpillars create a cocoon for an entire colony. Within
one colony there are two types of caterpillar. One type,
pioneers, weave long threads forming the skeleton of the tent.
The others, the workers, weave cross threads filling in the
structure. If there are too many pioneers, the tent is too big
and collapses. If there are not enough pioneers, the tent is too
dense and the colony suffocates. Viva la difference.
Within the colony of human beings we can find similar
differences. Some are ...Read the rest of this entry »

Parisian parents welcome the Teddy Bear Trust for addressing children's anxieties when being admitted to the hospital. The Teddy Bear Trust will seek to be able to hand out a free teddy bear to every child who's admitted to a hospital in Paris. The teddy bear will bring comfort to the child, while doctors and nurses can also use the teddy bear as a proxy when explaining the illness and medical procedures to the child. Also, the teddy bear can act as a substitute parent or comrade when the ...Read the rest of this entry »

After undergoing either of the open or endoscopic release surgery, it is time to get acquainted on how to recuperate from the major operation. It does not mean that when the carpal ligament is cut off, the patient is all too fine. In fact, some wrist strength is lost. The carpal tunnel recovery depends on what type of anesthesia has been injected. If it is local and has been injected around the site of operation, the area and the nearby fingers will remain numb for up to ten hours after ...Read the rest of this entry »

"Amar, if we implement this new performance evaluation system,
all the kids would be demotivated and frustrated. It has a
negative effect on morale!!!"....
Now this is something I have heard so many time in my life. And
maybe I get very frustrated just hearing the word
"frustrated" :-D
The first question to be answered here is what motivates a
person to work ?
According to many these are the reasons that motivate people to
work -
-> Work Environment and colleagues. ->Salary, status ...Read the rest of this entry »

Hi!
When your life is working well it's an opportune time to reflect
on what you've been doing to make it that way. What have you
pro-actively done? The same applies for when it spirals out of
control ' what have been the main contributing factors? Have you
ignored the signs and kept going hoping the situation sorts
itself out rather than pro-actively making changes?
The most important person in the whole wide world is you. Yet
how much time, effort and money do you invest in you? How ...Read the rest of this entry »

For the past ten-months, I tried every drug from the popular Vioxx, Celebrex and Aleve, to the long-standing Percocet, Ibruprofen 800, with some other fabulous ones like Fexeril, Ulltram, Naproxyn, and Antevert. (And, this is my short list).
I hate drugs and I try very hard to keep them out of my body. For example, for five years I was either pregnant or nursing so I knew the whole "What class is this drug in?" drill.
Unfortunately, there's a time and place for everything. To help manage my ...Read the rest of this entry »

Sarbanes-Oxley Act or the accountant full employment act as I
like to call it, refers to legislation introduced by Senator
Paul Sarbanes (D) MD and Representative Michael Oxley (R) Ohio
and passed in July of 2002 in response to the Enron and Worldcom
scandals.
Whenever the nation is confronted by a problem or crisis
Congress feels that they must pass some sort of legislation in
order to give the impression that they are doing something to
fix the problem.
The legislation usually only addresses ...Read the rest of this entry »

The keystone to efficient information and repositing direction
lies with a simple principle: information has a lifecycle and it
should only be stored as long as compulsory by stage business
and regulatory requirements. Nevertheless, the traditional
methods of giving medication do not suffice for the complex
relationships among structured and unstructured.
New generations of solutions ar evolving to meet byplay leaders'
inevitably piece reducing in operation(p) peril, meeting

Last week I went to a local pharmacy to have a prescription
filled. As I approached the prescription counter I noticed a
sign beside the cash register that said, " Let's Talk."
Considering it an invitation I said in a friendly, cheery voice,
" OK let's talk." and proceeded to say " How are you today?" The
woman waiting on me was not amused. She looked at me in frigid,
non-responsive silence and finally said cooly, " Can I help
you?"
It didn't take a degree in nuclear physics to figure out ...Read the rest of this entry »
